Hello from apocalyptic Los Angeles CA! It has been a scary few days, and my heart goes out to everyone who has been affected by these fires. We’ve been extremely lucky - we live just outside of the evacuation zone, so the worst of it for us has been no power for the past few days. Paste Magazine compiled some of the ways you can help out here if you have the means.

And as is tradition I will tell another little celebrity sighting story. Years ago my wife and I were in an ice cream shop in Los Feliz and Rachel McAdams walked in. The energy shifted in the room, you could tell everyone was trying to look at her without making it seem like they were looking at her. It stressed me out so much that I had to leave the ice cream shop. The end!
